Following your local company practices, strip the coating
from one of the fibers.
Using a fiber wipe and solvent,
clean the stripped fiber. (Do not use a cotton swab, as it may leave small
particles on the end of the fiber.)
With your company approved
cleaver, cleave the fiber to 10mm for 250 micron coated fiber, or 10.5mm for
900 micron coated fiber. Following your local safety procedures dispose of any
excess fibers.
